An April Update

Hello friends,

 As many of you know, we’ve been trying for Arts Council funding for many months. Unfortunately we received our third rejection last week. We had lots of exciting plans which will sadly not be coming to fruition. The funding landscape is rough at the moment, and for every project that can go ahead, there are many more that can’t.

It’s hugely disappointing, but we’re not letting this get us down and are working hard to tie up our plans for the rest of the year. More Song has become a really vibrant, joyous, and important community, and we’re deeply grateful for everyone who has attended our events – readers and audiences alike.

With this spirit of solidarity in mind, we’re looking forward to seeing you at our next event on May 4th for the 1 in 12 Club’s annual May Day celebrations.

In the meantime, we’ve still got fundraiser pamphlets available. A huge thank you to everyone who has bought one so far, it helps us to keep these events going.
