October Update
Hello everyone, we brought this year's program to an end in the wonderful company of Dom Hale, Elvire Roberts, and Alex Marsh on October 2nd. The poetry, as ever, was thrilling, radical and beautifully performed, and we continue to feel deeply privileged to keep bringing exciting artists to Bradford.
Thanks are also due to our bumper cast of open micers - one of whom was performing his poetry for the very first time. Thank you to Helen, Liz, Daniel and Laura for reading. This is exactly what More Song is about. A supportive and welcoming community for everyone to share their work regardless of what stage in their careers they are at.
We're going to be taking a break, but will see you all back at the 1 in 12 Club library in February. You won't be deprived of poetry during our winter break however; this year's anthology will be available online very soon, featuring a selection of poets who have performed at More Song throughout 2025. A lucky few got their hands on a copy at Thursday's event, and Dom, Elvire, and Alex's books were in high demand.
Many thanks to everyone who has worked hard to bring this year's series to life, and to all of you for coming along. We'd encourage you to check out and support Dom and Alex's work with the Poets' Hardship Fund too. It's a vital resource for so many writers, and of incredible importance for small arts communities to stick together and help each other out.
